The public-private financing mechanism for micro-enterprises and start-ups is an approach to support promising start-ups with a small-scale investment financed in equal parts by the local economy and project funds.
To this end, up to GHS 8,000 per enterprise shall be made available, 50% of which will be financed by the Hopin Academy. The private share of this funding mechanism is expected to come from investors willing to support micro-enterprises.
In total, up to 100 micro-enterprises and start-ups shall be supported in Northern Ghana, which will positively impact the environment and employment in the region. Approaches in the area of the circular economy will be treated as particularly worthy of support
